Founded in 1972 by Luis Felipe Tavares, a Brazilian former tennis champion in all major categories and the youngest member of the Davis Cup Brazilian team, Koch Tavares has become synonymous with tradition and organizational quality, as well as the promotion and the televised distribution of both national and international sporting events.

Koch Tavares was also directly responsible for the inclusion of beach volleyball as an Olympic sport during the '96 Atlanta Games; for the creation and implementation of Beach Soccer; for the management of the career of Gustavo Kuerten in Brazil since '96, and for the organization of the largest tennis events in the country.
